If you are one of them, read on.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PayPal is in the process of moving to a new data center<\/li>\n<li>They recently issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paypal-marketing.com\/emarketing\/partner\/na\/portal\/article_sepdatacentermove.page\">notice about some planned downtime<\/a><\/li>\n<li>In the notice it wasn&#8217;t terribly clear that the downtime does <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not<\/span> affect PayPal Express Checkout, Website Payments Pro, and Website Payments Standard. It <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">does<\/span> affect Payflow Pro (and Payflow Link&#8230; but it&#8217;s very rarely used by ProductCart customers).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So, bottom line: if you use <strong>Payflow Pro<\/strong>, this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paypal-marketing.com\/emarketing\/partner\/na\/portal\/article_sepdatacentermove.page\">downtime<\/a> will affect you, and you should:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Turn that payment option off<\/span> on your store around the downtime window.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Activate another payment option<\/span>, such as PayPal Express Checkout &#8211;\u00a0if not already active &#8211;\u00a0so customers can still checkout \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n<li>Turn everything back on after the downtime window has passed, and test to make sure that customers can checkout.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t use Payflow Pro or Payflow Link, then this does not affect you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lots of\u00a0ProductCart stores use PayPal in one form or the other.
