While Q2 overall ecommerce sales <a href=\"http:\/\/www.census.gov\/retail\/mrts\/www\/data\/pdf\/10q2.pdf\">grew 14%<\/a> over the same quarter of last year, many retailers are reporting <b>m-commerce sales growing in the triple digits<\/b>, with Amazon making headlines for selling over <a href=\"http:\/\/www.internetretailer.com\/2010\/07\/22\/amazon-tops-1-billion-mobile-sales-past-year\">$1 billion via mobile devices<\/a> in the last 12 months.<\/p>\n<p><b>ProductCart users will soon be able to take advantage of this trend<\/b>. This month (August, 2010) we began development of a Mobile Commerce Add-on for ProductCart, and we are keeping the project small (on purpose) to deliver it to you by the busy fourth quarter.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some initial specifications for the project, so you can start getting an idea of what&#8217;s coming:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ready before busy shopping season: BETA available by the end of September, 2010<\/li>\n<li>Quick shopping experience: find, add, checkout<\/li>\n<li>Easily browse through search results<\/li>\n<li>Checkout strictly through <a href=\"https:\/\/cms.paypal.com\/us\/cgi-bin\/?cmd=_render-content&amp;content_ID=developer\/howto_api_mobile_checkout%20\">PayPal Mobile Checkout<\/a>, to start (PayPal Express Checkout for mobile devices: quick and easy checkout)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Build To Order products will not be supported in this initial version due to the complexity of displaying the configuration page effectively on a mobile device. We&#8217;ll try our best to support Apparel products.
