We are officially shooting for October 19, 2009 as the release date for ProductCart v4. We were hoping for an end-of-September release, but the brand-new “One Page Checkout” system required much more fine tuning work than we anticipated.

We made extensive use of AJAX (i.e. quick calls to the server to validate, save and retrieve stuff, without having to wait for page refreshes) to consolidate lots of different steps onto one, quick checkout page.The Order Preview section can be floated to the right (as in the screen shot below), or shown at the bottom of the page.
